To remove, 1. Take off breather tube by squeeze plastic tabs, then pull off. 2. Remove 2 screws behind oil separator. 3. Carefully push and twist toward fire wall to remove oil separator from throttle body. you'll damage drain tube if you yank oil separator off. 4. Take off drain tube by pry open one time use clamp.
Kit installation was easy, fit perfect. Removal of the DPF filter and all the sensors took far more time. Noise is the same as factory. You can tell on start up the engine is breathing easier. Unbolt the coolant overflow bottle and swing it out of the way. Make sure to disconnect the coolant level sensor underneath as well. The top nut securing the engine mount is to the left of the oil filter. Use a short extension to get some clearance and remove the fastener. Make sure that you have the engine supported.

Remove passenger engine mount bracket. remove starter. remove 3 TC bolts. Separate engine from transmission while engine is still on the hoist. Put the transmission on a 4 wheel movers dolly. Slide that back into the engine bay or under the car where the trans originally was. it is out of the way! Lining up the trans / tc is hard enough outside
Im in the process of rebuilding my 3.0t because of a burnt exhaust valve. The engine has 210k miles and ran good up until the valve burnt up. It burned about 1 qt of oil per 1k miles and has the timing chain rattle for a second or two upon startup.
