If you get invested in an active guild or WvW server community or talkative raid/fractal static, that's some easy friendship finding grounds. You gather to do a thing regularly and have a chance to get to know people over time, so from there it's just a matter of how well you actually click with the people in 'em. Paul_Yew 11 years ago #2. That is incorrect. Anybody in your party of any level, class, gender and race can join your personal quest at any stage. They just need to be somewhere nearby when you enter the instance, and you can invite them to join in. They then need to click accept within a short span of time and in you all go. Boards. Guild Wars 2. : In Guild Wars character data /is/ actually transferred across the Atlantic and it was a huge source of downtime and disconnects for EU players. It wasn't fair at all and so for Guild Wars 2 we decided it was a better trade-off to have reliable service on the same continent even if that limited the ability to play together somewhat. Yeah. Human followers of Lyssa are most likely to take an interest in mesmer since it aligns pretty closely with one of their gods is my point, other races will have their own reasons though. Ash Legion Charr, for example, would like the subterfuge and stealth, Norn that idolize Raven or maybe Snow Leopard too. Unlike some games in which different races have different strengths and weaknesses, Guild Wars 2 does not offer any racial bonuses. For the most part, all of the races are the same “under the hood.” With two exceptions – Personal Story and racial skills – the only difference between the races is cosmetic. Personal Story
There are portals in the capital cities that get you to the other races capitals (and to the PvP areas). These are right next to where you zone in after completing the introductory mission. You can be next to your friend in minutes. According to my friend that is. cr34ti0n (Topic Creator) 11 years ago #3.
Immediately following your introduction event. If you are a F2P player you can use the WP system to travel to any of the starting areas, or if you're not a F2P player, in addition to the WP system, you can use Asura gates in any of the racial cities to get to Lions Arch and start your adventures.
The first time you log in, you'll be asked to select a home world. Choose any world you like. You can play with friends on different home worlds if your worlds are on the same regional server (North America or Europe). Your home world determines which team you'll fight for in World vs. World, a player vs. player game mode for level-80 characters.
We are going to play GW2 as 4 person party. I did a research, if me and my friends are different race, we can meet and do questing together after tutorial. We can also help eachothers story quests too. But do we need to go to our own racial capital city for the story quests?
If you want to play PvE together, you have to own the same campaign. If you start in different chapters you have to make some progress to switch continents. But it is possible, to start in different campaigns and still play together.
Honestly, all classes can play well together. As you might know, the so called "Holy Trinity" of MMORPG characters being divided into Tanks, Healers and Damage Dealers does not apply in Guild Wars 2. Thus, a duo like Tank/Heal which works very well in other games, does not fare better in any aspect of GW2 than most other couples you can think up.

Guild Wars 2 features three different combat game modes: PvE, sPvP, and WvW. Player versus Environment See also: Player versus Environment. Shortened as PvE, in this content players fight against NPCs and the environment. While PvE is a very wide term that encompasses things such as story or world bosses, the endgame focuses on the following:

15. mrbovice. • 2 yr. ago. Race is all subjective. Sylvari have some of the best color matching potential with glow and skin color. They are built similar to humans in terms of armor style. Norn are big and tanky looking. Not that guardians are tanky necessarily but it can fit that theme.

Break out of maps, just to explore and see them from different angles. Try to climb on the highest spots in a map (sometimes requires map breaking to do so) Fly around on griffon. Try to do crazy things on mounts that werent designed for it, for example climb vistas and stuff on skimmer and beetle.
