The dlc by itself is $35 but if I buy the gold edition of this game it is $24 and it comes with a season pass. My question is if I buy the ac gold game will the dlc be able to be used for my current game or will I have to play the game again on the gold edition to have access to the dlc. Jack the Ripper is arguably better than the base game, so yes it's worth it. The last Maharaja and the other DLCs are hit and miss but the gold edition is worth it for JTR alone. Expansions are good, but the season pass is a waste of $10 extra (or whatever the sale price is right now). Buy the expansions separate, then go buy yourself a sandwich with the money you save, unless you really want those two outfits. Both DLCs are pretty solid and you can level up to 55.
The extra content that came with the gold version definitely helps you out in the early game for sure. The game is so huge, it's not really necessary. You can always buy the season pass later. Season Pass content is excellent and adds dozens of hours of extra game play, so if you can afford it, go for it :)

Curse of the Pharaohs was better and going to the after life worlds was pretty cool. I don't know, after the main game in Origins, the DLC just didn't seem to add enough.

Hidden Ones had the Assassin's Creed feel to it. Bayek even has his own traditional Assassin (Hidden One) outfit. It's great and packed with content that doesn't feel wasteful, and it serves as a great conclusion to Bayek's story. Curse of the Pharaohs was way more supernatural but still "grounded" in the lore in a way that makes sense.

The base game alone is an excellent, sprawling open world with great character moments, strong narrative missions, and satisfying (if very traditional) combat. Odyssey is essentially just more Origins, but it feels rushed - compared to the more polished Origins.
